Our New Brighton facility has been built from the ground up with the goal of enhancing your child’s learning experience. We’re located in a family friendly neighborhood across from a newly built school with lots of walking paths and parks for the children to enjoy.
Safe and Comfortable Environments
Our infant room is equipped with rubber malted floors, with rubber foam underneath for extra additional cushioning and safety. In our Sr. Preschool Right Brain room we have a 60 gallon 360-degree water table where an entire class can comfortably enjoy water sensory play at the same time.
Ample Space and Lighting
The facility has 8000 square feet of learning and the play space with a 1000 square foot outdoor playspace for added learning and fun.Our floor-to-ceiling windows create a lot of natural light which is the custom at Fueling Brains Academy.
Sensory Development Experiences
The Right Brain room also boasts a beautiful “light and shadow room,” which provides a relaxing atmosphere with soothing music, calm to surroundings and tactile experiences. The sensory stations in this room help to improve auditory, fine and gross motor skills and offer children activities and materials that support developmental levels and interests of the children.

Ms. Halima Afolabi
Director - Infant/Junior Preschool
Halima has always had a passion for working with children. After her bachelor’s degree in Geography, she taught 7th to 10th graders and felt she could make a bigger impact in younger children. After reading about Maria Montessori’s philosophy, she went on to obtain a Master of Education and a Montessori Diploma from the Washington Montessori Institute at Loyola University in Maryland USA. With over 6 years of experience in childcare, Halima truly believes in educating the whole child and appreciates the opportunity to change tomorrow by working with children of today. She enjoys making new memories with her twin toddlers.
