The campus has two indoor gymnasiums to safely develop gross motor skills. The children benefit from Fueling Brains Academy’s movement program through its unique blend of right brain and left brain values and a traditional gym setting. While the children are having fun and being active, they are also building healthy bodies and healthy brains.
Multi Curriculum Environments
Our Montessori-based left brain curriculum uses materials and activities to teach our children mathematics, science, reading, writing and comprehension skills while teaching them practical life skills at the same time. Complemented by the social-emotional Right Brain classroom, children refine their skills through Reggio-Emilia inspired learning practices. Our learning system is further supported by the Movement program, giving children the chance to stay active and make mind-body connections.
Nutritious Homestyle Meals
At Fueling Brains Academy, we understand how important nutrition is for a child’s mental and physical development. This is the reason why we searched for ways to innovate and offer a meal program that provides healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals for our children. The daily meals we provide to our students are made with natural, fresh ingredients, with a focus on fruits, vegetables and products locally grown and sustainable and organically produced whenever possible.
Sensory Development Experiences
Our campus provides custom-built light and shadow rooms and sensory water tables to aid in sensory development exercises. Our Montessori-trained (Left Brain) and Reggio- inspired (Right Brain) teachers propagate awareness of sensitive periods, encourage learning through play and exploration, and respect the natural development of the child.

Mr. Sean Macallum
Director - Junior Preschool
With a degree and extensive background in musical theatre, professional singing, and theatre for young audiences, Sean Macallum started his Early childhood education journey in 2015 when a friend suggested he spend a day as a volunteer at the daycare she was working at. It was that day where Sean found his second passion in life for early childhood education. Having a daily opportunity to engage and play with young people is the only way Sean wants to spend his days, and his newfound passion has taken him from being a classroom assistant to an Assistant Director to Centre Director on the Junior Preschool side at Fueling Brains Academy Centennial. With skills, education, and tools gained in the journey, Sean now leads a fantastic campus into being community engagers and leaders.
