Ms. Kate Blackburn
Director
Kate Blackburn has led the FBA Saskatoon team since it first opened as Building Brains in the summer of 2019. She has over 35 years of experience in the field of child care, and loves working with families and getting to know their children. Her passion for early learning and building relationships with her students is evident in her daily interactions as the Centre Director for FBA Saskatoon’s Junior Preschool program.
Ms. Abarana Saravanabavan
Director
Abarana Sarabanabavan was born in Sri Lanka and grew up in Montreal. A polyglot with a passion for early education, Abarana speaks Tamil, English and French. She began her career in education in a French early learning center as an ECE, where she helped to facilitate the growth and success of young children for almost a decade. For Abarana, the learning goes both ways when she spend her days with the young children in her care. Outside of her work, Abarana enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, and loves to cook.
