After Impacted Tooth Surgery

An impacted tooth occurs when there isn’t sufficient space in the dental arch for it to grow, making it impossible for it to emerge properly. Following the surgical removal of an impacted tooth, mild discomfort and swelling are normal aspects of the healing process and should not cause concern. To reduce the swelling, cold compresses can be applied. Your doctor will also provide pain medication, and it’s essential to take it as prescribed. Patients are advised to be gentle around the extraction area and make dietary adjustments for a few days to aid in the healing process.
